Robert Lowry, Jr. L.Ac., Dipl.Ac, Ma.OM.
Robert Lowry, Jr. is licensed with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is board certified with The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He graduated cum laude with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University where he also tutored peers through the Federal Work Study program. Rob has performed acupuncture at Pillsbury House Integrated Health Clinic, Edith Davis Teaching Clinic, and Northeast Community Acupuncture, and had been a member of the Community Acupuncture Network since January 2007. Rob has been involved for over 25 years with martial arts, Taiji, Qigong and Yoga. He has also logged almost two decades studying varying proportions of Eastern Philosophy, Chinese Medicine, applied Soviet sports physiology and performance enhancement, weight lifting, music, psychology, health and wellness, meditation, Trigger Point Therapy, and other movement therapies like Alexander Technique, Somatics, and Feldenkrais Method.
Rob has used Asian self-care techniques for many years to recover from all sorts of injuries and conditions. Knowledge of these arts and sciences has dramatically altered his life course, and this unique lifestyle is what lead to his formal education and in turn, his career in Chinese Medicine. A lifelong learner, Rob is constantly studying health science subjects to broaden and deepen his knowledge.
